STUDIO ASSISTANT

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, friendly and committed Studio Assistant to join our team.

This is a part -time and in-person position.

At Libby Slader Design (LSD) , our team successfully collaborates with our clients, other professional consultants, and contractors to deliver a quality design solution for each project, that reflects the organization’s brand, concept, and culture.

Your Role

As an LSD Studio Assistant you will utilize your organizational skills, attention to detail and professionalism to provide administrative support to the Principal and design team in managing the day to day administrative operation of the firm and project assistance.

Your Duties

  • Support the Principal with administrative needs, scheduling meetings and proposal outlines.

  • Project start -up tasks including setting up projects in our time management software system and the cloud- based file sharing site.

  • Assist Principal and Bookkeeper in invoicing and tracking payments.

  • Create spreadsheets and schedules in various software programs.

  • Assist the project team in setting up meetings, both in -person and virtually, with clients, vendors and consultants.

  • Provide assistance in print coordination and project meeting notes.

  • Schedule meetings with vendors and maintain the resource library, including returning and filing project samples and submittals.

  • Assist Principal and designers with schematic presentations including ordering samples, researching products and obtaining budget pricing.

  • Special duties and projects for Principal, which may include business development, marketing, social media and website maintenance.

  • Track program subscriptions and manage them, as required.

  • Answer the phone and collect the mail.

Your Qualifications

  • Approximately 3-5  years in an administrative role, preferably in the architecture or interior design industry.

  • Excellent communication, relationship and time management skills. Established success working on multiple tasks/ projects at the same time.

  • Must be flexible, able to determine priorities, take ownership of tasks, and initiate a high level of initiative and follow-through.

  • Experience with Mac based programs a plus including Excel/Numbers and Word/ Pages.

  • Experience in managing multiple calendars in Outlook.

  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills.

  • Must be able to work 20 hours per week. ( Some duties may be performed outside the office with prior approval)

  • Associates Degree or Equivalent Hands-On Experience.
